ta'aruf aajizana chahta huN
[I want to humbly introduce myself]
ta'alluq aarifana chahta huN
[I want to build a (deep) spiritual relation]
muqaddar aazmane ka januN he
[I want to try my luck]
tere kuche meN, aana chahta huN
[I want to come to your (beloved's) street (area) ]
kaha kis ne, harana chahta huN?
[who says I am looking to win over you?]
bas ik, rishta, banana chahta huN
[I am only looking to build a relation]
guzar kese karuN, is zindagi meN
[I feel confined (in time & space) living life]
meN rehne ko, zamana chahta huN
[I want to live in the era]
jawaN hoN husn-o-khubi, javedaN hoN
[(how would be) to see everlasting beauty and virtue]
tasawwur, shaa'irana chahta huN
[I want to imagine poetically]
dianat aur maharat, sath hoN gar
[If (people w/ authority) were to have both honesty & expertise]
meN kab dharnoN meN, jana chahta huN
[I won't feel like going to sit-ins (protests)]
ana maya he, aur charoN taraf he
[ego is delusional and all around us]
meN is pe, muskurana chahta huN
[I would like to smile at (manifestations of) it]
giraN heN maal-o-zar, Mamoon, beshak
[wealth (and riches) are undoubtedly important]
inheN, pa kar, gaNwana chahta huN
[I want to get and then get past (these)]
تعارف عاجزانہ چاہتا ہوں
تعلق عارفانہ چاہتا ہوں
مقدر آزمانے کا جنوں ہے
ترے کوچے میں آنا چاہتا ہوں
کہا کس نے ہرانا چاہتا ہوں؟
بس اک رشتہ بنانا چاہتا ہوں
گزر کیسے کروں اس زندگی میں
میں رہنے کو زمانہ چاہتا ہوں
جواں ہوں حسن و خوبی جاوداں ہوں
تصور شاعرانہ چاہتا ہوں
دیانت اور مہارت ساتھ ہوں گر
میں کب دھرنوں میں جانا چاہتا ہوں
انا مایہ ہے اور چاروں طرف ہے
میں اس پہ مسکرانا چاہتا ہوں
گراں ھیں مال و زر مامون بیشک
انھیں پاکر گںوانا چاہتا ہوں
