be-ishq umr kat nahiN sakti he aur yaaN

[ it is impossible to lead a life with out love, however ]

taqat ba-qadr-e-lazzat-e-azaar bhi nahiN

[ I can't muster strength needed in proportion to the pleasure of pain ]

بے عشق عمر کٹ نہیں سکتی ہے اور یاں

طاقت     بقدرِ    لذتِ    آزار    بھی    نہیں
