maangeN duaa'eN Rab se ke ummeed ka din he

[ today, let's pray to God for blessings ]

qurbanioN ke eh'd ki tajdeed ka din he 

[ today is the day to renew our commitment to sacrifice ]

khushiaN manaiye ga zara ihtiaat se

[ take caution while celebrating ]

sab ko mubarakeN hoN ke aaj Eid ka din he

[ a very happy Eid to all ]

مانگیں دعائیں رب سے کہ امید کا دن ہے

قربانیوں کے عہد کی تجدید کا دن ہے

خوشیاں منائیے گا ذرا احتیاط سے

سب کو مبا رکیں ہوں کہ آج عید کا دن ہے

This Eid emphasizes sacrifice, and this year more than ever before, we need to keep in mind the needs of those less-privileged around us. We ought to also help one another overcome the difficult times we are in. 

Let us spare a prayer for those mourning and reminiscing loved ones. Hopefully the dark clouds will pass soon. Wishing everyone Eid Mubarak!
